Tyre repair technicians must be knowledgeable about the different types of tyres and be able to identify which tyre is best suited for a customer’s vehicle. As a tyre technician, one must be able to use various tools such as wrenches, jacks, and tire changers and operate vehicle hoists. They must also be familiar with the proper lifting and safety procedures for handling tyres.

In addition, tyre repair technicians must be able to provide customer service and explain their services to customers. They must also be able to assess the condition of a vehicle’s tyres and recommend the best course of action.

Some of these tasks may not be appropriate or safe for a person with significant mobility impairment, especially a person that uses a wheelchair. It is also worth noting that if such a person was permitted to work in this type of environment, there might be workplace health and safety issues in ensuring a safe workplace.
